 What is a Bidet?

Have you ever wondered what a bidet is? You might have seen one if you have ever traveled anywhere in Europe or Asia A bidet pronounced bee day is an invention tha bidet handdouche  t was created sometime in the 16th century for the use of washing oneself after using the bathroom. It originated in France and the word itself means “pony” in French. It got its name from people using the bidet as if they were sitting on a pony. The bidet has been used for hundreds of years and is very popular in many parts of the world such as Asia, the Middle east and even Europe. In Japan it is not uncommon to see a bidet in every bathroom you see.

For years these countries have been using them as an alternate to toilet paper. Why would one wash with toilet paper when they can use water. Its like when one goes to wash his hands before dinner: does he use a piece of paper to wash his hands or does he use water? Most likely the person would wash with water. Washing with water does a much better job and most of the world only use bidets. It is very common to see a bidet in public places such as hotels and private households. As the bidet got more and more popular and because of advancements of technology many different types of bidets were created. No longer was one required to use the regular bidet. Different types of bidets were created that were able to attach directly to your toilet seat rather than next to it. These different types of bidets allowed people to choose the bidet they wanted and allowed them to choose the right bidet. No longer was the bidet expensive as it use to be. There are much cheaper options for those that are on a budget.
